The seventh-year player, who is the franchise leader among tight ends in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns, was playing on the final year of his deal
THOUSAND OAKS — The Rams have signed tight end Tyler Higbee to a two-year contract extension through the 2025 season, the team announced Friday.
“I’ve been fortunate to be around Tyler for seven years now. He’s a glue guy for this team,” head coach Sean McVay said. “He epitomizes a lot of things that we’re looking for as Rams. Mentally and physically tough, loves to compete, versatility. We ask a lot of our tight ends, he sets the example every day. I love Tyler Higbee, really happy for him.”
The 6-foot-6, 255-pounder has started every game he’s played in since his second season in the NFL. He played an important role in the Rams’ Super Bowl following the 2021 season, averaging 12.8 yards per reception in the postseason before sitting out Super Bowl LVI with an injury.
