The star wide receiver and tight end Hunter Long will miss at least the first four games after landing on the IR
Ahead of the season opener, the Rams made the difficult decision to put wide receiver Cooper Kupp on the injured reserve with his hamstring pull, a source confirmed Saturday.
Kupp injured his hamstring in the first week of training camp, but was able to return after missing a couple of weeks of practices. However, one week later, he re-aggravated the injury and flew to Minnesota to meet with a specialist to examine the injury. Now McVay will miss at least the first four games of the season, putting Van Jefferson, Tutu Atwell and Puka Nacua into the spotlight to open the year.
