The Rams are familiar with what San Francisco is capable of, with the Niners on an eight-game winning streak in the regular-season series between the teams. But stopping head coach Kyle Shanahan’s offense is almost the tougher challenge for any 49ers opponent. McVay’s one-time mentor, Shanahan has managed to keep his machine rolling withPurdy was simply efficient in Week 1, completing 65.5% of his passes for 220 yards. But he didn’t have to be much more than that with running back Christian McCaffrey and receiver Brandon Aiyuk putting up 100-yard games and Deebo Samuel averaging 11 yards per reception.
