Mike Lindell told his viewers to go to Kevin Crye’s website to help him out, but did not directly pledge any money himself during the broadcast.
In 2022, Crye narrowly defeated his more moderate opponent, Erin Resner, just 50.4% to 49.6%, suggesting he could be vulnerable in a recall election. The supervisor’s district includes the city of Redding, and he told Lindell he represents many Democrats and independent voters.
Crye replied, “I’m not going to lie, I’ve had my moments where I feel like I’m Jonah sitting on that hill just wanting God to just like, send lightning and just burn Nineveh to the ground. But I always have to rest in: I know the lord is in control, I know he has me in a place for a purpose.” “He’s trying to make this a religious issue, but we haven’t brought anything up about his faith; we’re not concerned about that at all,” Gorder said. “I know we have people of Christian faith who attend church regularly supporting us, we have lots of religious people supporting us.”
