Record heat this weekend
The sun sets behind electricity towers along Mountain Creek Parkway in Dallas on Wednesday, June 30, 2021. According to atmospheric scientists, record levels of ozone in the Dallas area earlier this month may be proof of a cyclical link between rising temperatures, smog and demand. Record-breaking heat returned to North Texas on Thursday as DFW surpassed the record of 107 set back in 1951.
Today will be even hotter with a high of 110 expected. This will be the hottest day so far this year in DFW.AdvertisementD-FW Weather Wise
