Red Cross offers water safety tips ahead of Memorial Day weekend
Memorial Day weekend signals the start of the time of year when people go boating and swimming, so it's a good time to review some water safety tips. Each year, there are nearly 4,000 drownings and another 8,000 water accidents in the U.S., and drowning is the leading cause of death for children.
