Opinion: Rep. Adam Schiff’s un-American effort to silence critics on Twitter
Rep. Adam Schiff, local congressman and national media darling, has surfaced in the Twitter Files. Independent journalist Matt Taibbi found internal company correspondence documenting that Schiff’s office pressured the social media giant to ban a journalist from the platform.
He was able to use his position on the Intelligence Committee to fool people by implying that he knew secrets that would be revealed to the public in due time. Schiff’s media manipulation efforts, it has now been revealed, included a pressure campaign by his office to coerce Twitter into censoring content and banning journalist Paul Sperry from the platform.
