A person with a baseball bat attacked two aides of Rep. Gerry Connolly , at the congressman’s district office in Fairfax, Virginia, on Monday morning, sending them both to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to aRanking member Rep. Gerald Connolly, D-Va.
“The thought that someone would take advantage of my staff’s availability to commit an act of violence is unconscionable and devastating,” Connolly said in his statement.
