EAGLE PASS, Texas — U.S. Rep. Joaquin Castro, D-Texas, one of the fiercest critics of the state’s hardline approach to border security, on Tuesday led a congressional delegation on a tour of the Eagle Pass area.Rep.
“It’s barbaric. They’re basically treating these asylum seekers, these human beings like animals,” Castro said Tuesday Eagle Pass is a border town on the Rio Grande river, where the state has installed razor wire and a floating buoy barrier to prevent border crossings.
