Report: Colts closing in on Eagles offensive coordinator as head coach
INDIANAPOLIS — The Colts have plucked their next head coach out of a familiar pool.
The connection has little to do with the fact that Steichen and Reich were both Super Bowl offensive coordinators in Philadelphia when Indianapolis plucked them for the head coaching role. When Sirianni was hired as the head coach in Philadelphia, he hired Steichen as his offensive coordinator. That sets up well as the Colts navigate the draft and could end up with any of Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud, Will Levis or Anthony Richardson.“He can connect with guys, he can hold them accountable, and he’s been around a lot of great coaches,” Sirianni said earlier this season. “He’s a student of the game. There’s no doubt in my mind that when he has his opportunity, he’s going to run with it.”
