Hours after Tyler Buchner announced he’d be entering the transfer portal, the junior quarterback has reportedly set a visit to Alabama. Buchner has ties to current Alabama offensive coordinator Tommy Rees, who recruited Buchner to South Bend, Indiana.
According to multiple reports, Buchner’s first stop as he evaluates potential schools will be with the Crimson Tide.
Buchner was offered by Alabama when he was a four-star prospect in the class of 2021 and has ties to current offensive coordinator Tommy Rees, who recruited Buchner to South Bend, Indiana.Across three starts in 2022, Buchner generated 651 passing yards and 123 rushing yards with seven total touchdowns to five interceptions. He started Notre Dame’s opening pair of games before an AC joint sprain helped him out of action for four months.
