Johnnie Taylor, a 71-year-old retired handyman from Howard Beach, cashed in on the larges Mega Million jackpots in the game’s history, New York State Lottery officials announced on Monday.

Taylor — who once worked in Manhattan highrises — said he bought the ticket at Liberty Beer and Convenience in Ozone Park, his usual stop for quick-pick Mega Millions and Power Ball games.Johnnie Taylor, 71, a retired handyman from Howard Beach, claimed a record-setting Mega Millions prize for a $476 million drawing in April.Taylor said he plans to use the winnings to buy a new home, do some traveling, donate to his local church and replace his aging 2012 Prius with a new hybrid model.
