A third major brush fire in Riverside County, the RabbitFire has spread to at least 600 acres in Lakeview
Evacuations were ordered Friday in Moreno Valley and Beaumont as Riverside County firefighters battled multiple brush fires that consumed more than 1,000 acres and destroyed at least one home.The Rabbit Fire consumed at least 600 acres in Lakeview, while the Reche Fire spread to 400 acres in Moreno Valley and the Highland Fire in Beaumont burned more than 100 acres.The Reche Fire was first reported around 1 p.m. near the 9400 block of Reche Canyon Road in unincorporated Moreno Valley.
Evacuations were ordered for the following area: South of Reche Canyon Road, West of Locust/Trust, North of Alta Vista and East of Reche Vista Drive/ Perris Blvd. An evacuation warning was issued for the area north of Ironwood, east of Perris Boulevard, south of Alta Vista, and west of Moreno Beach.Road closures were also in place, according to the Riverside County sheriff, which tweeted: "There is a hard closure at Perris Blvd Northbound X Heacock Ave At Reche Vista.
