Route 15 will be down to one lane in each direction south of Winfield while there will be single-lane conditions on Route 147 in the Herndon area.
John Beauge | Special to PennLiveState Route 15 will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Grangers Road and Route 304 in Union Township, Union County, to permit construction of a left turn lane to provide southbound traffic access to County Line Road.
The construction area is just south of the new Route 15/Central Susquehanna Valley Thruway interchange near Winfield that is scheduled to open later this year. The project is expected to take six to eight weeks, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation says. Also on Monday, maintenance work is to begin on state Route 147 between Todd Valley Road and Turkey Hill Road in the Herndon area.
A contractor will be performing base repairs between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. causing single lane conditions with flaggers, PennDOT says. That project is expected to be completed in May, it says.
