“Homesick? No. I miss my family of course, my family, my country, food. I miss a lot of the Turkish food right now.” But the Rockets’ decision to sit starting center Christian Wood for the final seven games of the season has allowed Sengun to see the challenges that come with defending against starters and the “focus” he must bring to that job.
Though he said he needed to develop more confidence in his shot, Sengun’s offensive skills were immediately evident, coming with a flair for stylish passing that is effective and energizing.
