After nearly a decade as a major part of the ownership group, civic leader is leaving Padres
Padres Chairman Peter Seidler confirmed the move.
Seidler accelerated the long-awaited window of contention by approving multiple big-money moves shortly after taking over.As a member of Major League Baseball’s Labor Committee, the 77-year-old Fowler was intimately involved in the just-completed collective bargaining negotiations. He was chairman of the labor committee during the 2016 CBA negotiations.
