UPDATE: The Bexar County Medical Examiner has identified a man who was shot and killed by his roommate at a Northeast Side apartment complex early Friday morning.
Gregory Visman, 61, died from multiple gunshot wounds and the case was ruled as a homicide, according to the ME.
The shooting ended after SWAT fired tear gas into the apartment and went inside, where they found the gunman and Visman. This morn @ 0230 hrs I was on scene of a murder/suicide. Man killed his roommate. The patrol vehicle of the first ofc to arrive was hit by gunfire 40 times. Ofc took cover behind a dumpster. Arriving ofcs took fire for next 25 mins b4 susp killed self & roommate. No ofcs hurt.McManus said the first patrol car that arrived was hit by about 40 rounds and that the officers had to take coverage behind a garbage dumpster. A total of five police cars were struck in the shooting.
