Rutgers basketball's season-opening game against Princeton is now official, as is a matchup against another high-major team.

hoops history in a decade will be played on Monday, November 6, at Cure Insurance Arena on Trenton, Rutgers announced Wednesday morning.

Despite taking place less than an hour from Piscataway, the contest will be considered a neutral-site game, a smart scheduling move for the Scarlet Knights that could pay dividends come March. Tickets to both contests were made available for request and purchase to Rutgers season ticket holders on Wednesday morning. They will be released to the general publicPrice points for the contest against Princeton are $60, $50, $40 and $30, while the price points for the game against Mississippi State are $75, $50 and $30, per a press release from Rutgers Athletics.

The Scarlet Knights have faced Princeton 120 times in the past 116 years, making the Tigers the most frequent opponent in program history. Princeton leads the series, 75-45, and won three of the last four matchups before the series stalled, but Rutgers had won 10 of the 11 meetings prior to that stretch.
