San Antonio firefighters are investigating the cause of a fire that started at an East Side home on Wednesday morning.
The fire broke out after 7:30 a.m. in the 900 block of Mason Street, not far from Interstate 35 and North New Braunfels Avenue.
According to SAFD, firefighters found flames coming from a room at the front of the house. The flames appeared to have spread to the attic. A woman inside the house was able to escape. She initially said no one else was inside, but then said a man was at the home, SAFD said. Firefighters searched the home but did not find anyone else.
