The L Mount Alliance has grown yet again. Samyang and Astrodesign have joined, bringing the alliance to seven members.

Founded in 1977, Astrodesign specializes in real-time high-speed digital signal processing technology and says that it has developed multiple “world’s first” or “first in Japan” products, including many 8K cameras.is a far more recognizable name to photography enthusiasts since it has been making lenses for consumer cameras since about 2009 — although the company has existed for far longer and was founded in 1972.
Up until now, Samyang has focused on bringing these types of lenses to Sony E-mount, Fujifilm X-Mount, and DSLR mounts like Canon EF, but in joining the L Mount Alliance, photographers can fully expect these lenses to be ported over to support Sigma, Leica, and Panasonic full-frame cameras.
