SAN JOSE — A housing tower with hundreds of homes near San Jose’s Japantown and the city’s downtown area would be part of what is being described as a “transit village” in municipal documents.
The current proposal on file with the city envisions a 12-story tower at or near 900 North First St. in San Jose. The proposal is very preliminary and was filed as a way to allow city officials to assess the project’s concept and then provide feedback about the proposal.
