A victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive after a family-disturbance call on Pamela Avenue, police say.
SAN JOSE — A man barricaded himself inside an East San Jose apartment after stabbing someone during a family dispute Thursday morning, police said.
Officers were called at 10:18 a.m. to a complex on Pamela Avenue near Regional Medical Center for a report of a “family disturbance” during which a person was stabbed,The injured person, described only as a man, was taken to the hospital with what police said was a non-life threatening injury. After the reported stabbing, the man suspected in the attack holed up in an apartment.
Police said residents and motorists should expect Pamela Avenue to be closed while officers work to coax the man into surrendering. Additional details were not immediately available.
