San Jose police say they’ve arrested a man that allegedly pistol whipped another man during a home invasion on Friday morning.
SAN JOSE — Police have arrested a teenager that they say struck a man in the head with a pistol while committing a home invasion robbery in San Jose on Friday morning.
A man contacted police around 10:21 a.m. Friday to report a home invasion robbery, according to a police statement Tuesday. Officers soon arrived on the 2000 block of Newton Avenue, where the man claimed to have confronted an intruder in his home.Crime and Public Safety |The man said the suspect hit him in the head with a pistol and left with some of his personal belongings and property. The victim is recovering from his injuries, police said.
After an investigation, authorities identified the suspect as an 18-year-old Santa Clara man. He was arrested on suspicion of robbery and conspiracy charges. In a search of his home, police said, they found drugs, a loaded gun and ammunition.
