SAN JOSE — A woman was found shot to death in a car in South San Jose on Friday evening, touching off a rapid investigation and manhunt that led to the arrest of a suspect in Fresno,San Jose police officers were called at 6:13 p.m. to respond to a report of an unresponsive woman in a vehicle in the 5000 block of Almaden Expressway, which sits north of Highway 85 and is flanked by large shopping plazas.
An ensuing investigation identified a suspect “within hours of the shooting,” police said, and detectives obtained an arrest warrant for a man whose identity has not been publicly released. Additional details were not released as of Saturday afternoon. Police wrote in a tweet that more information would be provided in an upcoming news release.
