Sen. Bernie Sanders said he may support a Democrat in 2024 if any challenge newly registered Independent Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema after she left the Democratic Party.
Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema announced last week that she was exiting the Democratic Party and registering as an Independent.
"She is a corporate Democrat who has, in fact, along with Sen. [Joe] Manchin, sabotaged enormously important legislation," Sanders said of Sinema.should one be nominated to go against Sinema in 2024. Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., slammed Sinema as a "corporate Democratic" and said he may vote for a Democrat who challenges her for her seat in 2024."I support progressive candidates all over this country, people who have the guts to take on powerful special interests," Sanders said."I don't know what's going to be happening in Arizona. We'll see who they nominate, but certainly that's something I will take a hard look at.
