San Antonio police are investigating a murder-suicide at a Northeast Side apartment complex early Friday morning.
Officers were called just after 2 a.m. to an apartment complex in the 4800 block of Ray Bon Drive, not far from Eisenhauer Road and Rittiman Road after receiving word that someone may have shot their roommate.
SAPD shut down the area near Ray Bon Drive and Eisenhauer Road during the incident, but police say it has since ended. The roads have since reopened. People arriving home said police told them they couldn’t enter because it was an “active shooter” situation. People in the area said they heard multiple gunshots, and police or negotiators were also heard on a loudspeaker at one point.SAPD has since called the shooting a murder-suicide and Police Chief William McManus will soon brief the media. This is a developing story.
