The first fire, in the 300 block of Avenue J South, and the second fire, in the 300 block of Avenue K South, were both deemed suspicious.

The Saskatoon Fire Department said the fire in the 300 block of Avenue J South was reported at 5:39 a.m. Arriving fire crews reported seeing “heavy flames visible from the street,” the fire department said in a media release.

The fire was brought under control at 5:51 a.m. and by 6:41 a.m., the fire was completely extinguished.Ten minutes after firefighters arrived at the scene of the porch fire, fire crews found another fire in the yard of a property in the 300 block of Avenue K South. The fire department is asking that anyone with information about these fires call the Saskatoon Police Service at 306-975-8300.
