Voter turnout for the byelection was 37.51 per cent of registered voters.

Beck, the first elected female leader of the Saskatchewan NDP, faced her first major challenge in that role no Monday, as the party’s candidate Nathaniel Teed vied for the seat previously held by former NDP Opposition Leader and Saskatoon Meewasin MLA Ryan Meili until he stepped down earlier this year.We deliver the local news you need in these turbulent times on weekdays at 3 p.m.By clicking on the sign up button you consent to receive the above newsletter from Postmedia Network Inc.
