from her home basement on Wednesday, as she decided to not go into the NBC studio out of precaution as she has a sore throat.
“Here’s what happened: I wasn’t feeling my best. A little sore throat, some sniffles. I wouldn’t have thought anything of it, but we are in different times, aren’t we?” Guthrie said to co-host Hoda Kotb. She said that she was following Centers for Disease Control guidelines, as well as the advice of NBC’s medical team, in staying home, even if she said that she otherwise was feeling fine.
Later, Guthrie interviewed Surgeon General Jerome Adams, who started by asking her how she was feeling. “I am feeling well enough. Thank you for asking.”
