“Restaurant owners really focused on creating delectable prix-fixe menus, so you’re looking at three courses, really ingenious concepts,” Chavarria said. “Everybody has really prepared and curated something special this year that really speaks to the cultural differences within their home country. So this is what it’s all about, encouraging Chicago locals to discover a new gem or visit an old favorite and really understand the diversity of Latin cuisine.
“We’ve been serving the community for close to 50 years, since 1973,” said Reyes. “We decided to do it again this year, to lower our prices, to give back to the community – they’ve given so much to us. We’re very happy to share the stage with other amazing restaurants and to showcase what we’re really made of.”
