Max Scherzer se declaró “listo para jugar” después de lanzar otra sesión de bullpen y realizar ejercicios de fildeo el viernes, dos días antes de que los Rangers de Texas abran la Serie de Campeonato de la Liga Americana.
Los Rangers no han anunciado si el tres veces ganador del premio Cy Young será parte de la plantilla de la serie, y esa decisión no tiene que ser revelada hasta el domingo antes del primer juego en Houston. Scherzer no ha lanzado en un partido desde el 12 de septiembre, debido a una distensión muscular en un hombro.
Después de su sesión de bullpen con uniforme, Scherzer fildeó rolas hacia ambas líneas del Globe Life, y también realizó algunas jugadas cubriendo primera base. “Hago dos días cubriendo primera en el año, un día en los entrenamientos de primavera y uno más un día previo a la postemporada”, dijo Scherzer con una sonrisa.
