After three consecutive non-conference matchups to start the season, the Auburn Tigers are set to open SEC play on Sept. 23 with a visit to Texas A&M in College Station.
As announced by the SEC Monday morning, the Tigers and Aggies will kick off each other’s conference slates with a 11 a.m. kickoff from Kyle Field. The game will air on ESPN. Since the two programs’ first meeting in 1911, Auburn is 9-12 against Texas A&M, but the Tigers have won six of the last 10 matchups dating back to 2013 and are also 4-1 when visiting the Aggies in College Station.
Historically, however, neither the Tigers nor the Aggies have ever truly run away with a win as the largest margin of victory was just 16 points in favor of Auburn in 2015.
