Another push of cooler air arrives for this weekend.
This second cold front gets here Friday night without any rain, but it brings windy and cooler weather for Saturday.. Now we're looking ahead to a second cold front that will not bring any rain, but it will bring a breeze and cooler temperatures for this weekend. High temperatures will reach the mid and upper 80s for the warmest locations Friday afternoon under a partly to mostly cloudy sky.
By Saturday morning behind the front, temperatures will be in the mid to upper 50s, and the wind gusts will be between 30 and 40 miles per hour. It will certainly feel like fall! The afternoon on Saturday will be much cooler. Highs will only reach the low to mid 70s for most locations under a mix of clouds and sunshine. This will be 10 degrees or more cooler than average for this time of the year!
The coolest weather of the entire weekend will be Sunday morning. We expect a low temperature in Austin of 53 degrees, but the cooler locations in the Hill Country could easily drop into the upper 40s. The afternoon on Sunday looks stellar. It will be mostly sunny with a high temperature of around 79 degrees. Temperatures will be rebounding through the 80s for the first half of next week. We may even hit the 90s by next Thursday ahead of another cold front late next week.
