See Iggy Pop emulate 007 in his suave new 'James Bond' video

Singer Faith Vern chimes in “James Bond” at the end of his verses, but as the song goes on, she looks less Bond-like in a blue, faux-fur coat and a flannel shirt, as Pop takes some lewd turns lyrically The track gets funkier and jazzier, leading up to Leron Thomas’ stunning trumpet solo. Pop was coy in a statement when he discussed the meaning behind “James Bond.” “I don’t know what she’s up to exactly, but the tables seem to be turning, and she’s taking over,” he said. “Well, why not? I’ll try anything once. I’ve never had more fun singing a lyric. Faith’s reading is so loaded, and Leron’s production and trumpet along with the band swings like crazy.”
The singer made the video in Miami, where he lives, at Sweat Records. It was directed by Simon Taylor, who previously made a video for
