Forget Waldo—where's the off-road Pilot SUV?
is set to gain a Trailsport variant, and Honda is dangling its rugged new family hauler in front of us. Well, sort of.
The photo Honda provided—which you can see above in its zoomed-out, Where's Waldo glory—doesn't show much. Amidst a western, rocky vista is, if you zoom way, way in, a Pilot Trailsport, looking like a Hot Wheels toy car from across the room. Don't even bother getting closer to your screen; we blew the image up for your perusal below, but to ruin the surprise, even the tiny, blurry Pilot Trailsport in the photo is a camouflaged prototype.
We're speculating here, but you can probably expect the Pilot Trailsport to hit the, um, trail, running with more comprehensive off-road upgrades than the current Passport Trailsport, its two-row sibling.is set to develop into a harder-core, more focused, more upgraded package sometime in the future, having started out largely as a style play when it launched for 2022.
For an idea of what that model and the Pilot Trailsport might look like in normal size, not zoomed out from a mile away, look no further thanHonda showed off late last year. Sporting similar visual upgrades to the Passport Trailsport you can buy today , it also netted an array of underbody skidplates, a lifted suspension, and more. We'll know for sure what the Pilot Trailsport brings, and what that portends for the Passport soon, well, soon.
