NEW YORK — Separate boat crashes in Massachusetts and Missouri over the weekend have left multiple people injured and at least one person dead.
A 17-year-old girl was killed and five other people were injured when a boat crashed Friday night into a jetty in Cape Cod, according to Massachusetts State Police .
In a letter obtained by ABC News to Dover Sherborn High School students and staff, the school identified the teen who died as Sadie Mauro. Another passenger, described as a teenage male, sustained a head laceration and was sent to Cape Cod Hospital for treatment, according to MSP. On Saturday, eight people were injured after an intoxicated boater crashed ashore and hit a home in the Lake of the Ozarks, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
