The beauty retailer's 'Clean at Sephora' category now includes over 50 banned ingredients.
Words like "clean" and "natural" have been beauty buzzwords for years now, but there's still no clear consensus on what those terms actually signify. Last year, Sephora took a step to rectify that — at least within its own ranks — with the launch of, a product category that included only items formulated without a target list of 13 ingredients. Now, Clean at Sephora is expanding to include over 50 no-no ingredients and even more product regulations.
You might think a longer list of banned ingredients would mean less product offerings, but the Clean at Sephora assortment has actually expanded from 61 brands to 68. According to a press release, the updated category includes products from First Aid Beauty, Flora + Bast, Glow Recipe, Lord Jones,
