A car has crashed into an elementary school in Wimbledon, southwest London, according to the city’s Metropolitan Police force, who have described it as a “serious collision”
Seven children and two adults were hurt in the incident in Wimbledon, officers said, adding that they are awaiting further updates on their conditions. Officials have ruled out terrorism as a motive but are investigating further. The driver stopped at the scene and there have been no arrests as of yet, the Met added. Police were called at 09:54 a.m.
to reports that a car collided with a building at the primary school in Camp Road, the force said in a statement. The institution is a fee-paying girls’ school for pupils aged 4-11. The prestigious Wimbledon tennis championships began in the neighborhood on Monday. “Officers remain at the scene along with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance,” the Met said.

Arrest made in Denton shooting, victim in critical condition - KRLD NewsDenton police are still investigating a shooting that left a child critically wounded. Investigators say it happened Tursday night at a mobile home park on Teasley Lane on Denton's south side. Police got several calls about shots being fired. When police arrived they found one victim who was flown to the hospital in critical condition. Police have arrested 39 year old Travis Rollins who they say he took off after the shooting but was picked up during a traffic stop in Duncanville. Duncanville police called Denton police after learning he was wanted for the shooting. No word yet on what led to the shooting and we still don't know the exact age of the child shot as police are only saying the victim is a juvenille.
