Shawn Mendes shook the Staples Center in Los Angeles Friday night (July 5) before even stepping on stage.
At 8:19 p.m., 10 minutes before the singer-songwriter was set to come out, the aftershock of a 7.1 magnitude earthquake in Ridgecrest, California, struck the Los Angeles arena.
With the lights already beginning to dim and the crowd buzzing in anticipation, at first it seemed that the frantic screams were just from someone who had spotted Mendes backstage.
