Lucasfilm's Dave Filoni has confirmed Ahsoka Tano still isn't a Jedi in her Disney+ TV show - rather, she's a wanderer, something else entirely.
Lucasfilm's Dave Filoni has confirmed that Anakin Skywalker's former Padawan, Ahsoka Tano, still doesn't consider herself a Jedi by the time of the upcoming Ahsoka Disney+ TV show. Introduced in Star Wars: The Clone Wars as Anakin Skywalker's apprentice, Ahsoka Tano has blazed her own unique trail. She's outlived her former master, with her story now continuing in live-action - with the main part played by Rosario Dawson.
Speaking exclusively to Empire, Lucasfilm's Dave Filoni confirmed Ahsoka still doesn't consider herself to be a Jedi. "She’s a wanderer at this point," he observed, "and is in a lot of ways wary of any organization as such because of the power that comes with it as a group. She walks a path that basically died out a long time ago, and there aren’t many like her left, if any. So that’s a lonely thing.

Although Ahsoka was cleared of all charges in the end, Ahsoka lost her faith in the Jedi and still chose to leave.
In truth, Ahsoka never really needed the title of Jedi; she will always serve the light side, and she has consistently walked a similar path to the Jedi without the negative context or politics that go along with the title. The "found family" Filoni refers to likely speaks to the crew of the Ghost, the returning characters from Star Wars Rebels, rather than to the Jedi. The Ahsoka series will likely see its star finally find the peace and belonging she never experienced as a Jedi.
