If there is one question that Cyberpunk 2077 players are asking themselves today, it’s whether or not to jump into today’sA totally new cyberware systemBut do so ahead of the release of Phantom Liberty, which will be out the afternoon/evening of September 25 in the Americas, September 26 everywhere else.
I say do it today, if you’re that excited to play. No matter what type of player you are, I would say there’s little point waiting for Phantom Liberty. Why? I’ll explain.– While it’s possible to skip straight to Phantom Liberty from a brand new character, I would not recommend that without the context of the rest of the game. Instead, you will be introduced naturally to the Phantom Liberty storyline a good while into the game, around when you start to meet the Voodoo Boys in Pacifica.
While it’s possible you simply race through the game and get past that point before Phantom Liberty launch that…also doesn’t matter. I played Phantom Liberty three times after beating the entire game…three times and it was perfectly great doing it that way. But I’d be amazed if you got that far in just a few days here.
