Delish. I added summer squash to the marinade after I took the shrimp out to cook. Risky? Oh well. Then sautéed the squash and added shrimp back in before adding basil. I think any veggies could be added.Solid recipe, super tasty! The basil is definitely the star.
and SO easy!!! I've made this dish multiple times already and it is always a hit! ... Plus everyone thinks it took far more effort than it really did. The caramelized candy coating on the shrimp is to DIE for. I made similar modifications to another reviewer - doubled the garlic and used 4 peppers, plus a tsp of sambal oelek for an extra somethin'. I also subbed fish sauce for soy sauce once when I didn't have any fish sauce on hand and it turned out just as delicious.
