Six Flags Fright Fest takes on Universal’s Horror Nights with Saw and Conjuring haunted mazes
Magic Mountain won’t reopen until Thursday, Aug. 24 — with the Valencia amusement park closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays as part of its regular operating schedule. The Six Flags park was also closed on Sunday, Aug. 20 because of the storm, along with Knott’s Berry Farm, SeaWorld San Diego and Legoland California. Disneyland and Disney California Adventure reduced hours on Sunday while Universal Studios Hollywood maintained its regular schedule.
The National Weather Service has canceled all tropical storm warnings for Southwest California, but warns that a flooding rain threat remains on Monday in Los Angeles County — especially in and around mountain areas. Wind gusts up to 35 mph are expected to continue in mountain areas through Monday morning.
Magic Mountain tickets purchased for Sunday and Monday remain valid on any regular operating day through the end of the year.The major category 4 storm packing winds of 145 mph eventually weakened to tropical storm strength by the time it made landfall in Southern California on Sunday.
