Sleater-Kinney played their first live show since the departure of Janet Weiss
played their first live show since the departure of drummer Janet Weiss in July at the Hopscotch Festival in Raleigh, North Carolina. The group fronted by Carrie Brownstein and Corin Tucker took the stage on Thursday with new drummer Angie Boylan, who has performed with Aye Nako, Little Lungs and Freezing Cold in the past.
Boylan stepped in for Weiss, who split the band after 24 years behind the kit just as the trio was prepping its ninth album,last month. Weiss said she decided to leave the band due to SK's "new direction."
