It’s almost impossible to imagine new Colorado head football coach Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders — yes, that’s his real title on the Buffaloes’ official website — pitching a team that went 1-11 last year to future recruits across Football America by first asking parents and family members if they have an annual subscription to Apple TV+.
If you say that the Wildcats went 5-7 last year, the Sun Devils were 3-9 and superconference football drives everything with realignment, that’s true. The initial goals for Yormark when he took over the Big 12: Inking a new TV agreement, addressing the Texas/Oklahoma situation, exploring expansion. The initial two have been crossed off; the latter is currently being explored.
“I think it’s logical that there would be speculation around us, given our academic profile and the academic schools in the Pac-12,” he said. With UH leaving the American Athletic Conference for the Big 12, the Owls are set to move upward into the AAC on July 1.
