Renovations to the space at 2175 Cornell Rd. make it lighter and more open. The room is mostly white and black with touches of metallic gold in the light fixtures. Wallpaper accents in selective spaces and bathrooms are saturated florals. Bartenders wear black aprons with light outlines of the floral accents. Chubby metallic figures in the center of tables are a pop of funky fun. The room will seat 100 guests without crowding.
Wolf bought the space in July and has been renovating it since. One of the last big touches, a ceiling height, shallow cabinet to show off wine bottles, was installed on Saturday. As a chef, Wolf more recently worked at the Shaker Heights Country Club in Shaker Heights and in the kitchen at The Country Club in Pepper Pike. "
The menu is still being tweaked but will reflect casual fine dining. Wolf plans to integrate regional tastes to fit into this modern brasserie format. Katie is planning a full music program throughout the week and has been talking to local musicians. The restaurant will be open on Sundays and Mondays for brunch. The plan for Mondays is a nod to hospitality workers who are usually off when all restaurants are closed.
