Condolences to Turner and Jonas, who reportedly suffered the tragic loss of their young dog “Waldo” this week
took a tragic turn this week in New York City. According to a police report filed Friday, the celebrity couple’s young Alaskan Klee Kai dog was involved in a “freak accident” during a walk on Wednesday, and lost its life in the process., Turner and Jonas’ dog-walker had “Waldo Picasso” on a leash during a stroll on New York’s Lower East Side, before a pedestrian apparently spooked the dog, causing him to break free and run into a nearby street.
The animal was then struck by an oncoming car and killed, in what Jonas’ rep apparently described as a “freak accident.”, shortly after Jonas surprised his then-girlfriend with a dog from the same litter, Porky Basquiat. The two reportedly decided to take care of a second dog, and adopted Porky’s brother, Waldo. It is unclear if Porky was present during the incident.
