Sound Talent Group, the independent booking agency launched by former UTA Agents Dave Shapiro, Tim Borror and Matt Andersen in November, has hired veteran agent Randy Salcedo to handle international bookings for STG’s growing roster of clients.

"Where there's a need, whether it's through artists we sign or artists that we already work with and are looking for a fresh opportunity, Randy is an option to be able to help us have a world view on our artists," Borror said.

The announcement comes as more of the major agencies look to strengthen their international booking teams -- on Monday, which shared more than 400 clients with Paradigm and will now operate under the Paradigm banner. "It’s different for each artist," Borror explains. "A lot of bands have agents in the UK and there are a number of agents at the major agencies that are booking international dates out of New York or LA. It's all about people having the relationships in these different territories to be able to get the work done. Randy has the right attitude and experience that matches what Dave and I are trying to do.

"We've been getting a lot of support and a lot of goodwill out there and I think that we've been doing things the right way," Shapiro tells Billboard. "We've been being above board with people and trying to play nice in the sandbox with everyone. We just want to wake up and fight for our artists and work hard. It's that simple and a, and we want to have fun doing it.
