A conservative organization's accountability project will push for Rep. Jamaal Bowman to receive charges for violations of the same federal obstruction statute that the Justice Department has used to prosecute those accused of rioting and entering the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.
“I was rushing to make a vote, I was trying to get to a door. I thought the alarm would open a door," he said of his actions. Capitol Police are now investigating why Bowman pulled the fire alarm.
