Stand-up comic Jo Koy is returning to San Antonio hotter than ever
Jo Koy already was one of the hottest touring comedians in the U.S. when he played the AT&T Center in November 2021.In “Easter Sunday,” a family comedy that opened in August, Koy plays a struggling comedian who is trying to get his career on track while caught between the competing needs of his Filipino mom and her family and his teenage son.
Like Gabriel Iglesias, Koy, 51, connects with fans by sharing the travails of his daily life and making them laugh-out-loud funny. “I filled my refrigerator for about two weeks. There were a lot of dads who thought it was going to be done in two weeks," he says."That went on for two years. And the way my son eats, we were out of food in four days.”
